We, Jenny and Eric Horstman are the proud owners of this beautifully rurally situated farmhouse in the Haute Saône in France which we first saw in February 2004.
For a numbers of years we had been looking for a place where we could offer holiday accommodation for small groups. We looked at lots of places from the Dordogne to the Rhone Valley. And finally, at a relatively short distance from the Netherlands we found the place we dreamt of. A large farmhouse, located on the edge of a very old hamlet called Bourguignon-les-Morey. We purchased it at the beginning of 2004 and have lived there permanently since 2006.
The farmhouse is centuries old which has during the past decades undergone many changes and modifications. You can see in the beautiful vaulted ceiling of the wine cellar that the house is built on natural rock. The front and side of the house is surrounded by five and a half acres of ground which includes three ponds, an old fruit orchard, a vineyard, a large vegetable garden and pastures. Lots of space to enjoy being outside and for outdoor activities .
Our aim is to offer our guests a place to relax and wind down in either the chambres d’hôtes (bed & breakfast), the small camping site, or during the summer workshops and guest arrangements. But that it can also be a place where you can find peace and quiet so that you have time to reflect and think about your personal development.
